Prepare for a whole day of fun and entertainment!
Start of Walk & Run
(Run start time: 10:00am)
(Walk start time: 11:15am)
To kick start this year’s Walk & Run, there will be a grand opening ceremony hosted by DJ Zyleen from Club Asia. You will also hear the banging sounds of the Steel Band. For those runners that will need a quick warm-up there will be a fitness instructor to guide you through this.

Along the Walk & Run Route (10:00am – 3:00pm)
To keep everyone motivated and to ensure everyone completes the 10km Walk & Run, you will be entertained by a 5-piece 'rock and blues' band. You will also see various costume characters and feel the beat of the Dhol Players. You might also get snapped by our photographers who will be taking photos of everyone throughout the day. These photos will then be available at the photo booth desk for you to purchase as a souvenir.

General Entertainment (10:00am – 6:00pm)
After you’ve flexed your muscles doing the Walk & Run, you can come and relax and enjoy a lovely day on Gloucester Green with attractions for all ages. You can get beautiful and intricate designs applied to your hands at the henna stall by Pavan the world's fastest henna artist (in the Guinness book of records for doing 314 tattoos in one hour); children can have their faces painted and be transformed into their favourite characters or animals at the face painting stall and those who need some relaxation therapy can get a massage.
Be wowed by the mind blowing tricks of Darius, a world renowned magician who has performed to celebrities such as The Kooks, the Blairs, Snowpatrol, David Blaine and Tony Robinson to name just a few! Also have a chance to Sponge the "Celebrity" while they are locked up in a medieval type stock.
We will have fairground rides and stalls where you can test your aim by having a go at the cork shooter and more. For anyone still feeling active and full of life after the Walk & Run, you can play a game of volleyball or put yourself to the test at the penalty shootout.

Educational Activities for Children
We are all taking part in the Walk & Run to raise money for the Aga Khan Foundation (United Kingdom) to support the three projects which have been highlighted this year. There will be opportunities to
learn more about the projects in a fun and exciting way on the day. There will be a multicultural finger painting banner to decorate, or children can help fit together the pieces of the Photo Puzzle. The
finished product will be images of the people who are benefiting from the work of AKF. Children can
also understand more about the farming and agriculture projects at the Water Cress Stall and create their own striking calligraphy designs.
