ACCESS FOR ALL

Partnership Walk & Run took place on Sunday 19th July 2009 in Gloucester Green,

Regent's Park. The event was very successful and there were over 1,500 people who participated. See photos!

 

Alternative Walk route

Everyone is encouraged to walk or run the 10km route, but if this is not a suitable option for you, perhaps you could register for the shorter walk route (1.5km) that has also been arranged.

Participants should arrive at the Registration area by 10.30am. There will be a fast-track registration desk available for Seniors / those with Special Needs.

 

Facilities for Seniors and Special Needs

So that everyone can enjoy the day, the following facilities for Seniors and those with Special Needs will be available:

  • Drop off point on the edge of the Regent’s Park close to the Gloucester Green site
  • Designated seated area with tables and chairs
  • Food and drink station within designated seated area
  • Designated toilet facilities with disabled access close to the seated area
  • Free on street Blue Badge parking is located at the south end of Regent's Park near the Inner Circle.

There will be entertainment throughout the day. Why not dissolve your stress, calm your mind and focus your senses with a chair-based Tai Chi class, taking place in the Seniors and Special Needs seated area between 12pm and 1pm.

If you require a wheelchair please ensure you make adequate arrangements in advance and bring one with you, clearly labelled with your/your carer’s name and contact phone number.
